Riding Levels Explained
LEISURE
· Distances range 25-40 miles/40-65km.
· Terrain is generally FLAT to ROLLING with minimal extended climbs.
· Ideal for riders new to group riding.
· eBikes can be made available for an additional fee.
· None of our bike tours are rated 1, but all of them can become truly easy if you make use of our support vehicle. You can bike as little or as much as you like and then simply get in the support vehicle when you like. We’ve even had non-cyclists on trips so they could travel with their cycling friends or partners.
MODERATE
· Distances range 40-60 miles/65-95km.
· Terrain is generally ROLLING with some extended climbs depending on the trip.
· There are easy days or optional rest days with activities between the more challenging rides.
· Great for those who ride on a frequent basis.
· eBikes can be made available for an additional fee.
· We have follow vehicles that can make a moderate trip match up to the beginner level. Anyone can jump in the support van for a break, anytime.
ACTIVE
· Distances range 50-80 miles/80-125 km.
· Terrain includes everything! You'll hit multiple climbs in a day and what comes up, must go down. You feel comfortable descending and cornering.
· Best for those comfortable riding in a group and train with a specific focus on cycling.. We mix in some easy days and a day off depending on the length of the trip. Be ready for multiple strong days in a row.
· eBikes can be made available for an additional fee.
· We have follow vehicles for support and when the challenge is a bit much you can jump in for a break. On Active trips you don't want to rely on the vehicle for support.
ADVANCED
· Distance for routes range 75+ miles/120+ km with multiple days above 6,000 feet/1,800 meters of climbing.
· Terrain will require a high level of fitness. Routes will potentially include many challenging climbs in a day with technical descents.
· You are comfortable with your fitness and your ability to ride multiple hard days in a row at a solid pace.ing!
· eBikes are NOT available for advanced trips.
· Our follow vehicles are with advanced trips to provide support for the rides. We may use vehicles to transport to a remote start. Otherwise we are pedaling!
